About the First Appointment

The introductory appointment is very important as it gives you an opportunity to experience how I work and if you feel we are a good match.

Individuals have a spectrum of different needs in the first session. Some people have much they want to express and need the time and space to do so. At the same time they want to feel my presence, attunement to their feelings, and ability to listen. You may want to ask me questions and learn about my theoretical approach and how I work with different problems and desired areas for growth.  Some individuals want to present a specific problem or circumstance for me to evaluate and give them initial feedback. For those who have not previously participated in therapy, your first appointment is an opportunity to meet me, spend some time talking, and evaluate if you feel comfortable and confident that I am the person you would like to work with.

To schedule an initial appointment or to ask any questions about my practice, please contact me by phone  at (805) 561.0876 or (310) 924.5313

My office hours are Monday and Thursday 11AM to 6PM; Tuesday and Wednesday 11AM to 8:30
